For most people in Cheyenne, the unsightly building on Yellowstone Road (which had housed several failed retail stores and food shops) was viewed as nothing more than an eyesore – failing even to catch the interest of any commercial retail buyers. But where others saw problems, IBG saw only possibilities. Recognizing the benefits of the site’s prime location, our team knew it was an ideal opportunity for the full-service branch UniWyo Federal Credit Union wished to establish in the community.
Having previously constructed UniWyo’s HQ branch, IBG sought to apply the same design elements to this new location in Cheyenne – a task that would require a complete redesign. The IBG team stripped the building to its skeleton and rebuilt with both form and function in mind. A new curtain wall was constructed, signage was erected, and exterior skins featuring natural stone were applied. Additionally, wood snow fences were
incorporated both inside and outside the branch.
